frenziedpanda7He was exhausted yes, but it was a GOOD exhaustion. He had been delighted when Yugi had asked him to watch the twins so that Yugi and Anzu could go on that special anniversary getaway. Atem had taken the boys to the water park for the day, then finished up with dinner at a popular pizzaria and a movie. The twins had been well mannered and appreciative, and Atem had to wonder why their parents had such a hard time finding babysitters...
He had put the twins to bed and was just stepping out of a nice hot shower, when he heard frightened cries of "Uncle Atem! Uncle Atem!

Hastily wrapping a towel around himself, he burst out of the bathroom to find the twins sobbing in the hallway. Gentle questioning revealed that the boys had been awakened by a strange noise and had then seen a stranger peering into the window!
Leaping into full protective mode, he told them to stay in his bedroom while he went to deal with the prowler. Not stopping to dress, he went outside and circled the house, planning a number of unpleasant shadow games for when he caught the intruder...
After two trips around the house, he had to conclude that the miscreant had fled. He was about to step through the front door, when he realized it was locked. Strange, he was SURE he had left it unlocked...
"Boys, it's ok , you can open the door now. Boys it's me, OPEN THE DOOR!"
It was right then that Atem found himself illuminated in the headlights of the police cruiser that had pulled into his driveway, lights flashing. The officers were droning on about how they had recieved a call about a half-naked prowler peering into windows at this address...
But Atem hardly heard them. His attention was fixed on his upstairs bedroom window and the two little grinning faces looking down at him.
It was then that Atem, pharaoh and former King of Games, realized he had just been played... BY EXPERTS!
