B-Day Fic for Technicolornina
Jul. 20th, 2009 10:18 pmKaiba needed Yugi. His presence at the Kaibaland Grand Opening was absoulutly essential, and no excuses would be accepted. Not DOMA, not rare hunters, and certainly NOT "Americanus ursus". Bears did not interest him, he wanted Yugi.
Ignoring the frantic protests of Isono and his pilot, Kaiba followed Mokuba's directions straight to the picnic table where mama bear and two baby bears were enjoying several hastily abandoned lunches. Mama bear rose up on her haunches and growled a challenge. A duel disk activated and Blue Eyes White Dragon issued her own challenge. Mama bear and cubs retreated in search of more welcoming picnic groves.
With the vanquishing of the latest impediment to his aims and objectives accomplished, Kaiba continued on to a grove of pine trees. He helped his little brother down from the first tree, made sure Mokuba was alright, then strode over to the next tree.
He REALLY wished he had more time to savor the moment. Never again would he catch his biggest rival in such a humiliating position, glaring impotantly, spikey hair festooned with pine needles.Alas, there was still a great deal to be done before the grand opening, so he settled for snapping a few pics with his cell phone camera, while Yugi cursed him out with great gusto and imagination.
After taking a moment to radio the pilot to prepare for takeoff, Kaiba delivered a short, sweet, victory speech:
"Yugi? Listen very carefully because I'm only going to say this once. If you and your friends are not out of these trees and on board my helicoptor in two minutes, you can forget about a free ride home!"
Happy birthday, Technicolornina!
