Has anyone had any stories pulled from ff.net? There seems to be a purge of M and even T rated stories going on. Buffy, Naruto, Twilight, and Harry Potter seem to be among the hardist hit, but Yu-Gi-Oh has lost around seven hundred stories. ( A French Writer has done some research, and posted a breakdown of the top twenty fandoms on ff.netrants)

Theory is that a bot program is seeking out key words in summaries.

I haven't lost any - dunno if I've lost any that have been faved - but another friend of mine just reported losing one of her Transformers fics just yesterday.

Word I've been getting is that summaries with curse words or suggestive content can get a story pulled even if the story itself does not violate TOS. Even more disturbing is that ff.net has been blocking attempts to export stories to AO3 for at least a month.

Though there's always just uploading directly to AO3. That's what I do. But still....

Hm. I have exactly ONE rated M story and it has the word "incest" in the summary (it actually says NOT incest, because it's a Jou/Shizuka story and I wanted to be clear it was not romantic in nature, but a bot reading would just home in on the individual word). But anyway, none of my stories, including that one, have been pulled, as far as I can tell...
